When trying to update a file in SharePoint, you receive an error message stating “File failed to upload – There was an error while uploading a file to the server. Click to view and resolve the error.” It typically appears as a pop-up message in the bottom-right section of your screen.
Resolution:
- Click the pop-up message to open the Microsoft Office Upload Center.
- Click Settings.
- Click Delete cached files.
- Click OK.
- Try to save the file again.
